Northern Insurance Service, Ltd. has been in the insurance business in the Will County area for over 75 years. The firm, which is owned by principles Jeff Thompson and Armand D'Andrea, is actually a result of several trusted insurance agents with decades of experience coming together under the Northern Insurance name.
The roots of Northern Insurance Service go back to the well known Cornolo Insurance Agency, established in 1927 by Joe Cornolo. Joe's son, Gene Cornolo took over the business and served the community for many years thereafter. Then in 1996, Jeff Thompson joined as a partner and created the firm of Cornolo & Thompson. Eight years later, D'Andrea joined the firm and developed the current Employee Benefits/Health-Life Division.
In 2005, Cornolo & Thompson moved to it's current location -350 Houbolt Rd. - and changed it's name to Northern Insurance Service, Ltd. Also in 2005, Gerald Borens joined the team by merging his agency - Borens Insurance Group - with Northern Insurance, giving Northern it's second location. Then in April of 2006, the Gore-Robinson Agency also of Morris, IL joined the Northern Insurance team. Northern Insurance also opened a sattelite office in downtown Plainfield, IL in 2006. Northern Insurance has become one of the fastest growing Independent Insurance Agencies in Illinois! |
