Maria L. Aguirre

Maria was born in Chicago and raised in Mexico. She has been in the insurance Industry for nine years. Seven of those years were spent working for Adamjee Insurance Agency in La Grange, IL. In 2005, she bought a house in Plainfield, IL and started working for Northern Insurance. Maria and her husband Jose also own a Hispanic supermarket by the name of EL Mercado in Shorewood, IL. Most of Maria’s clients are of Hispanic descent are walk in customers to her store. She has two children, Michael (10) and Rubi (3). Maria’s favorite pastime is to be with her family as much as she can… with the two jobs she doesn’t have as much time as she would like.
Armand D’Andrea

Armand D’Andrea specializes in commercial insurance and employee benefits insurance.
Armand joined the firm in 2004 and helped develop the current Employee Benefits division when the agency was still called “Cornolo & Thompson.”
Armand was born and raised in Joliet, IL and attended Joliet Grade School District 86, Joliet Township High School, and Joliet Junior College. Armand also graduated from the University of St. Francis in Joliet with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration & Finance.
Armand Comes from a long line of Joliet business people, including his grandfather who was a local sewer & water contractor, his father a local pharmacy owner, and his aunt, a real estate professional and former Joliet city councilwoman.
After working with his father for a few years in the family retail business, Armand went to work for CNA Insurance Company in Chicago as a Group Insurance Underwriter, then spent the next several years working for Prudential Insurance Co. and Jefferson Pilot Financial (now called Lincoln Financial) as a Group Insurance Consultant specializing in Health, Life, Accident, Dental and Disability.
Lou Ann Dawkins

Lou Ann was born & raised in Kankakee, IL and was a full time travel counselor for many years. She was employed by our parent company, the Cornolo Travel & Insurance Agency in Lockport, IL after she moved to Joliet. At that time she was approached by Mr. Cornolo to assist in the Insurance section of the office; as the office was in need of more help in that area. She had been employed for seven years at the original Insurance office and continued with Jeffrey Thompson when he purchased it in 1999. She assumed the claims manager position when we relocated in Joliet in May of 2005.
Lou Ann has two children & six grandchildren. Her favorite pastime is traveling the world & experiencing different countries & their cultures.

Jan grew up in Oak Lawn, IL and attended Eastern Illinois University. She lived in Oak Lawn until 1990 when she moved to Frankfort. She has 20 years experience in the insurance industry spending 3 years in Personal Lines, and the last 17 years in Commercial Lines. Jan has been with Northern Insurance for 11 years, since Jeff Thompson began the business as Cornolo & Thompson. Prior to her involvement in the insurance business, Jan worked as a floral designer and sewing instructor.
Jan is married to her husband Jim, with two grown children. In her spare time, Jan enjoys Floral designing, painting, and spending summer weekends boating on Lake Michigan.
Agnes Froemel

Agnes was raised in Bristol, IL, where she graduated from Yorkville High School. She then received her B.A. in Sociology from George Williams College in Downers Grove. Agnes has been married to her husband Gerald for 22 years, and together they have three children, Rachel, Emily, and Sammy. Agnes and her family have lived in Channahon for the last 20 years.
Agnes has been in the insurance industry for 27 years, working in commercial lines. She has worked for Northern Insurance for the past 11 years. And prior to that she worked for Illinois Securities, Morency & Associates, TJ Adams, and Farmers Insurance.
Some of Agnes? hobbies include walking, baking, and reading.
William R. Iser, Sr.

Bill is a 30-year veteran of the insurance industry with experience and knowledge in casualty insurance. Bill formed an alliance with Northern Insurance Service, Ltd. to be the Director of Marketing for the Food & Liquor Division. He is the current owner/manager of Iser Insurance & Consulting, a division of Northern Insurance Service Ltd.
Bill obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and Coaching from Western Illinois University, which he attended on a 4-year football scholarship. He was an All-American Linebacker at WIU and played one year of professional football with the NFL Denver Broncos.
Bill was born and raised in Chicago Illinois, and currently resides in Oak Brook, Illinois. He spends any free time he may have learning new computer software programs as well as organizing and attending numerous and varied family activities. Bill is most proud of his 4 children, William R. Iser Jr., Tiffany, Jennifer and Carrie, and his 2 wonderful grandchildren, Chelsea and Preston.

Joe Kane was born and raised in Joliet. The third oldest of eight children, Joe graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 1994 and continued his education at Purdue University. There he earned his degree in Liberal Arts and then spent the past eight years living throughout the country selling medical and pharmaceutical supplies. Joe returned back to his roots in Joliet in 2006. He joined Northern Insurance and has focused on commercial insurance.

Mark is a Joliet native, growing up in the St. Patrick’s district where he lived for 18 years. Mark graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 2003. He then graduated from Loyola University Chicago in May of 2007 with B.A. Degrees in Political Science and Communication. One month after graduation, Mark joined Northern Insurance. In the fall of 2007, he completed Westfield Insurance’s TAPP program for new producers.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys following sports, playing golf, reading, traveling, and playing guitar.
Shamus Mudron

Shamus Mudron was born and raised in Joliet. He graduated from Joliet Catholic Academy in 1995. He then graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1999 with a bachelor's of arts degree in business. Afterward, he moved to San Diego to be with his girlfriend, now wife. Shamus moved back to Joliet in 2004 and joined Northern Insurance as a commercial producer, an industry his father has been in for over thirty years. Shamus is married with three children.

Lisa was born and raised in Morris, IL and currently still resides there today. Lisa has 18 years experience in personal insurance as well as 10 years experience managing a small agency, accounts payable and payroll. Lisa has her insurance producer license in Fire, Casualty, Accident/Health and Life. She has worked at Northern Insurance for two years.
In her spare time, Lisa enjoys exercising, traveling and spending time with her husband, Darryl and children David and Kaytlyn Neushwander, and Ryan, Brittany, and Jeremy Shannon.

June was raised in Aurora but has called Joliet home for the last thirty years. She is married and has three grown sons and is soon to be a Grandmother. Her prior occupation was a Travel Agent, but Personal Lines Insurance has been her career focus for the last ten years. She joined the Northern Insurance team in 2004 to replace the retiring Personal Lines Agent of 33 years. Leisure time is spent gardening, shopping for bargains and walking with her dog Jack.
Jeffrey A. Thompson

Jeffrey A. Thompson grew-up in Joliet and graduated from Bradley University with a Degree in Finance and attained an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago.
He worked for Aetna Casualty & Surety in Chicago for seven years in their Bond and Commercial Underwriting Departments and then joined an agency in Naperville. After eleven years of specializing in commercial insurance and bonds, Jeff joined the Cornolo Agency in Lockport. In 2005, after merging two other agencies Northern Insurance Service, Ltd. was formed.
Today Jeff resides with his wife Nancy and two children in Joliet. He continues to be involved in the community as a member of the Exchange Club and currently serves on the Joliet Chamber, Joliet Country Club and Joliet Catholic Academy Board of Directors.
Linda Rippberger

Linda was born in Warren, PA, where she spent the first ten years of her life. She then moved to Owensboro, KY and spent eight years there before moving to the Chicago area. Linda has been married to her husband Donald for 43 years and together they have two daughters, two grandsons, and one granddaughter.
Linda has worked at Northern Insurance for four years on a part-time basis. Prior to working at Northern, she was the bookkeeper for a private school and church in Downers Grove. Currently, in addition to working at Northern, Linda is the bookkeeper for her church in Naperville.

Michelle was born and raised in Orland Park, attended the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and became a paralegal through the American Institute for Paralegal Studies. She currently resides in Channahon with her husband Jim and their two sons, Evan and Ryan.
Michelle began her career in the legal field right out of college, becoming a paralegal in 1990. She worked for several solo practitioners and small law firms before finding her true calling in the insurance industry in 2000. Michelle started with Northern Insurance in June, 2005, as Northern offered the work/life balance she sought in order to raise her children.
Michelle is constantly decorating or redecorating one room or another in their home, and both Jim and Michelle enjoy spending time with their young children in their backyard, playing games like baseball and going fishing. But don't worry, Michelle is a Northsider at heart and the fish get thrown back--just like the opposing team's homerun balls!
Derek Wright

Derek Wright is an innovator in the employee benefits marketplace. For the past 10 years, he has partnered with organizations to develop and implement programs that increase profitability while allowing organizations to meet strategic objectives and improve employee satisfaction.
His professional associations include the Society for Human Resource Management, where he serves as the Vice President of the Will Grundy HR Association, and the National Health Underwriters Association.
Derek believes in giving back to his community. He is the Treasurer and board member of the UCP of Will County and a founding member of the Rotary Club of Shorewood, where he serves on the Board of Directors.
Derek is a resident of Plainfield, Illinois, where he spends his free time with his three girls - wife, Amanda, 4 year old Avery, and 2 year old Lily.
Derek would love to golf, mountain bike, and snow ski... if only he had the time.
